Why Choose a Green Roof?

SunVibe is a reseller and trusted installation partner for Sempergreen, offering various green roof systems, including green roof with solar panels.

Biodiversity

Boost biodiversity in urban areas, even if it's high, dry and has poor soil quality.

Less heat stress

Green roofs can moderate the heat island effect, particularly during the day.

Better air quality

Green roofs can help reduce concentrations of several pollutants that affect air quality.

Lower flood risk

Can effectively reduce peak flows associated with storm events and reduce the total volume of stormwater discharge.

Green Roof Systems

Traditional Sedum roof

The Traditional Sedum Roof is a modular green roofing system suitable for flat and slightly pitched roofs (0–20°). It comprises a protective layer, drainage, a nutrient-rich substrate, and a pre-cultivated Sedum-mix blanket featuring 6–8 drought-resistant succulent species. Designed for low maintenance, it enhances biodiversity, provides thermal insulation, and manages rainwater effectively.

Solar green roof

Combines a Sedum vegetation layer with solar panel installations, optimizing both energy generation and green roof benefits. The system includes drainage, substrate, and pre-grown Sedum blankets, designed to improve panel efficiency through natural cooling. Suitable for flat and low-sloped roofs (0–5°), it enhances biodiversity, manages rainwater, and increases overall roof performance with minimal maintenance.

Biodiverse green roof

A layered system designed to enhance urban biodiversity by providing habitats for pollinators like bees and butterflies. It features a drainage layer, a substrate layer (minimum 120 mm thick), and a vegetation blanket cultivated with over 20 plant species attractive to insects. Suitable for flat and slightly pitched roofs (up to 15°), this system also offers a lightweight variant with a thinner substrate (minimum 70 mm) and a Sedum-herb mix.

Pitched green roof

For roofs with slopes ranging from 20° to 45° and suitable for both new constructions and renovations. It features AA-panels that secure the growing medium in place, topped with Sedum-mix blanket type T—pre-cultivated vegetation mats reinforced with artificial fibers to prevent slippage on steep inclines. A vapour-permeable version is also available, utilizing a waterproof green roof scale that can be fixed directly to battens, offering a sustainable alternative to traditional roofing materials.

Lightweight green roof

Designed for structures with limited load-bearing capacity, such as carports, sheds, and warehouses. It consists of a drainage layer, a mineral wool substrate roll, and a pre-cultivated Sedum-mix blanket. The system is available in configurations suitable for roof pitches from 0° to 20°, with saturated weights as low as 40 kg/m² . This solution provides benefits such as rainwater buffering, thermal insulation, and support for biodiversity, making it ideal for retrofitting buildings where traditional green roofs are not feasible.

Detention and retention

Green roofing systems that manage rainwater at the source. Detention roof is a lightweight setup for flat/sloped roofs (≤5°) that temporarily stores and slowly releases rainwater. Ideal for retrofits.Retention roof is for new builds with higher load capacity. Uses water retention boxes to store rainwater for reuse or delayed drainage. Both types support vegetation, improve thermal performance, and help prevent urban flooding.
